GIS Services

Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis is a rapidly growing technological field that integrates tabular data, such as that in a database, with graphical representations of spatial data, such as maps. This unique blend of data management systems creates a powerful analytical tool which can be used to display, analyze, interpret, and present data in ways that reveal spatial relationships, patterns, and trends in the form of maps, reports, and charts.

GEE’s GIS capabilities allow us to digest a wide range of data from a large number of sources including NYSDEC, NJDEP, USEPA, and the USDA to help our clients make informed intelligent decisions. Using industry leading ESRI software, our GIS specialists are able to analyze digital elevation models to accurately predict excavation costs and produce hydrological models. When used with GPS units on site, GEE is able to produce sub-meter precision maps of wetlands, trails, habitat boundaries, and other features. GIS Analysts at GEE are also able to customize analysis output and tailor them to individual client needs, such as developing a digital decision support (DDS) tool to locate suitable areas for wetland restoration for specific wetland habitats.
