Great Ecology & Environments, Inc. (GEE), formerly Great Eastern Ecology, is a national ecological consulting group founded in 2001 and based in New York City. Our services include site planning and habitat restoration, sustainability and green design consulting, ecological permitting and mitigation design, biological studies and solutions, and environmental finance issues. We work for design professionals, government entities, and industrial corporations, helping our clients make creative, sound decisions when facing environmental and ecological issues. From the rigors of science to the aesthetics of design—we’re here to ensure our clients’ actions work today, tomorrow, and far into the future.

GEE’s staff are trained in ecology, hydrology, environmental sciences, landscape architecture, and engineering. Field staff are OSHA-certified to conduct work on hazardous sites.

Our interdisciplinary team of science and design experts allows us to examine each problem from multiple perspectives. As importantly, it allows us to communicate solutions in the way that works best for each client’s needs — through presentation, technical writing, graphics, drawings, models, or other forms.

GEE is proud to be headquartered on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, where we have easy access to the region by car and train, and to the nation by three international airports.

When visiting GEE’s NYC office, please use our 246 West 80th Street entrance. If traveling by cab, request the intersection of 80th Street and Broadway; if traveling by subway take the 1 train to the 79th Street stop and walk to the intersection of 80th Street and Broadway. Our entrance is on the south side of 80th Street between H&H Bagels and New York Sports Club. Take the elevator to the fourth floor and we will greet you. Please make an appointment before you stop by.
